An asbestos occurrence located in secs. 3 & 10, T39N, R7W, MDM, 2.2 km (7,300 feet) SE of Scott Mountain (coordinates of record), along Don Rice Creek, a tributary of Scott Mountain Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite).
