A former Mn mine located in the NE¼ sec. 5, T4S, R6E, HM, 1.5 km (4,900 feet) ENE of Neafus Peak. Discovered 1942. Owned by the William White estate, California (1974). Operated by Rae F. Helmke, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a Mn occurrence. The ore consists of blocks of high-grade Mn oxide lying in landslide debris. The debris that is associated with the ore is mainly chert. No ore has been found in situ. Local rocks include Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Analytical data results: Average of over 45% Mn.
