A former placer Au mine/group of claims located in sec. 21, T38N, R9W, MDM, about 5¾ miles WNW of The Cedars, along Hickory Creek, a tributary of Coffee Creek, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). Claims also located in sec. 28. McIlwaine also worked claims in secs. 22 & 27. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).
