A former lode Au mine located in sec. 5, T7N, R8E, HM, (unsurveyed for township and range - projected. Highly uncertain), 5.7 km (3.6 miles) ESE of Fawn Ridge, along the East Fork New River, on Bureau of Land Management/National Forest land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
Mineralization is hosted in diabase. The ore body strikes NW and dips 25NE. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 380 feet of adits and 300 feet of drifts. Considerable ore was taken out near the surface.
Production data are found in: Brown (1913). Produced $16,000 (period values)but no specific date available.
Ore was high grade.
