A former lode Au mine located in secs. 17 & 33 [?], T8N, R8E, HM (UTM estimated; land unsurveyed for township-range - projected), 0.8 km (2,700 feet) N of the Marysville site, in the headwaters area of Sherwood Creek, on Bureau of Land Management land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in diabase. The ore body strikes NW and dips 45NE. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 200 foot crosscut tunnel, and a winze 100 feet deep.
