A Mn occurrence located in sec. 12, T3N, R6E, HM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) N of Hyampom, on National Forest land (located claim). Discovered 1940. Owned by William Rowland, California (1974), and by Emil V. Lehmann, Jr., California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in chert (Late Jurassic). The ore is a very low grade deposit of red and purple chert with thin films of Mn oxide. The chert is surrounded by greenstone and serpentine. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface operations.
