A Cr occurrence/mine located in sec. 25, T27N, R9W, MDM, 2.7 km (8,800 feet) NNW of Tomhead Mountain, on the slopes of the mountain, approximately midway between the Tedoc Mine to the N and the Elder Creek Mine to the S, on National Forest land. Owned-Operated by J. E. Heslewood (1918). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The MRDS database files present geographic coordinates of 40°10'39"N, 122°50'31"W; however, the topo map clearly reflects the mine by name and adit symbols (2), at the coordinates provided herein. The MRDS-provided coordinates also fail in that they do not place the mine of the slopes of the mountain, as otherwise stated in the MRDS file and reflected as such on the topo map location.

Local rocks include Franciscan schist.

Workings include surface openings comprised of an open cut. (1918).

Production was some 300-400 tons mined and lying on the dump. No ore was shipped (1918).

Analytical data results: Oreassayed at 32% Cr2O3 .
