A Mn occurrence/claims/prospect located in secs. 1, 2, 11, 12, T26N, R10W, MDM, 11.4 km (7.1 miles) W of Tomhead Mountain (coordinates of record), and 5.7 km (3.5 miles) SE of Chicago Rock (coordinates of record) (Trinity County), along Devils Hole Gulch, near the Trinity County line, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Yolla Bolly-Middle Eel Wilderness). Discovered 1942. Owned by George Allen, California (1974) and by James A. Milham, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in quartzite. An ore sample consisted of quartzite heavily coated with manganese oxide and a little brown iron oxide stain. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Workings include unspecified surface openings/operations.

Both MRDS files contain the note: "ALSO IN SEC 25 T25N R3W." This bit of datum is obviously extraneous and in serious error.
