A Mn occurrence/prospect located in sec. 2, T5S, R5E, MDM, 2.8 km (9,300 feet) NNW of Mount Oso (coordinates of record), and 0.8 km (2,600 feet) ENE of the Buckeye Mine, in the headwaters area of Buckeye Gulch (near the crest of the ridge 600 feet NE of the N ore body in the Buckeye Mine). Discovered in 1918. Operated by E. H. Henderson and W. W. Breite, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (an unreasonable value).
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan melange.
