A reported gemstone occurrence located in sec. 20, T17N, R6E, HM, 6.4 km (4.0 miles) ENE of Preston Peak, along South Fork Indian Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
