Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist and Late Permian slate. The ore body strikes N and dips 50W. There are 2 veins in green chloritic schist probably derived from tuff & interbedded black slate. The first vein is small and strikes N20W and dips 45-60W. The second vein strikes N to N22W and dips 50W, joined by a small, nearly horizontal, vein. Both veins contain an unusually large amount of calcite and siderite. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 121.92 meters and comprised of 2 adits. The upper adit taps the small vein and the second aditis 400 feet lower.
