A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 19 & 30, T21N, R12E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) SE of Hawley Lake and 5.0 km (3.1 miles) WSW of Church Meadows (coordinates of record) (7 miles NNW of Sierra City), on National Forest land. The property comprises 90 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The veins average 6 to 8 feet thick, are nearly vertical. These veins may be of the same system as those of the Sierra Buttes Mines. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground opening with an overall depth of 31.09 meters and comprised of shafts and adits.
