A reported placer Au occurrence located in sec. 17, T19N, R9E, MDM, about 4.5 km ESE of Brandy City, along the N canyon wall of the North Yuba River, at Indian Valley. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file presents geographic coordinates of -121.98526, 39.51797, placing this locality far to the W of Sierra County along the Sacramento River. The longitudinal value is in error. Correcting that value to 120° versus 121° brings the locality into sec. 17, as described.
