A former Au occurrence/group of claims/mine located in the SW¼ (?) sec. 28, T21N, R12E, MDM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) SW of Church Meadows (coordinates of record) and about 5½ miles N of Sierra City, just S of the W end of Lower Salmon Lake, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 41W. The quartz vein is 4 feet thick with a stringer zone 5 feet thick. The vein dips 67W in the upper adit. Local rocks include Quaternary glacial deposits.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 15.24 meters and comprised of 2 adits. The lower adit is 60 feet long with 20 feet of drifts and the second adit is 50 feet above.
