A former Au occurrence/claim/mine located in sec. 28, T19N, R10E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) SSW of Forest and 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NW of Alleghany, on the E canyon wall of Oregon Creek (W slope of Pliocene Ridge), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. NOTE: Clark lists this mine as a drift mine.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include underground openings.
