A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T19N, R9E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) SSW of Indian Hill and S of Jouberts Road (4 miles NE of Camptonville), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and porphyry. The ore body strikes NE and dips vertically. The vein is 20 inches (50 cm) thick and is covered by gravel, except where it is exposed by hydraulic workings. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 457.2 meters and comprised of a 50 foot adit and 100 foot deep glory holes.
Tghis mine has been long idle. No production record was found.
