An Fe occurrence/prospect located in sec. 1, T33N, R4W, MDM, 2.1 km (7,000 feet) E of Gray Rocks (coordinates of record), near the shore of Shasta Lake, on Bureau of Reclamation land (Shasta Lake). Owned by Rodney Wood, et. al. Redding, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a contact metasomatic Fe deposit hosted in metavolcanic rock. Local rocks include Triassic marine rocks, unit 2 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of shallow pits and cuts.
Analytical data results: Samples assayed 35-40% Fe.
