A former lode Au mine located between 2.5 and 3.0km (8,300 to 10,000 feet) NNE of Dog Creek Mountain (coordinates of record), near French Ridge, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Alternate coordinates provided: 40°55'19"N, 122°30'17"W.

Mineralization is hosted in andesite and slate. The ore body is 0.91 meters thick. There are 8 veins on the group, six being parallel. The 6 veins strike E and have vertical tips. Sulphides are found in the wall rock.
Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 48.77 meters, and consisting of several adits on the vein from 50 to 450 feet long, drifts, raises, and stopes.
