An Fe-Cu occurrence/prospect located in sec. 3, T33N, R4W, and in sec. 34, T34N, R4W, MDM, 0.5 km (1,600 feet) WSW of Gray Rocks (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a replacement vein deposit hosted in the McCloud Limestone and serpentinite. Ore control was a shear zone adjacent to limestone. Limestone forms the hanging wall and serpentine the footwall. Diorite is an associated rock. Local rocks include Paleozoic and Permo-Triassic granitic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains) and/or Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 18.29 meters. Operations are comprised of development along the outcrop, several hundred feet of adits, shafts and winzes.
