A former lode Au mine located in secs. 5, 8 & 9, T31N, R5W, MDM (coordinates estimated), 0.6 km (1,900 feet) ESE of Sugarloaf (coordinates of record). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body is 2.44 meters thick. Controls for ore emplacement included a NW-trending fault. The deposit consists of several veins. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains) and/or Devonian marine rocks, unit 2 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of several surface cuts, crosscut adits amounting to several hundred feet.
