A former Au mine located in sec. 17, T33N, R7W, MDM, (coordinates estimated; section projected) 4.1 km (2.6 miles) WNW of French Gulch on the divide between the Right Fork French Gulch and Scorpion Gulch. The property consisted of several claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes W and dips 60N at a thickness of 1.52 meters. There are 2 parallel veins 200 feet apart. Local rocks include carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 340 foot adit, a 40 foot winze and 1 stope. The ore shoot is 5 x 180 feet.
Production data are found in: Brown, G.C. (1916). Mine was a small producer.
Analytical data results: Low grade ore.
