A former lode Au-Ag-Cu mine located in secs. 3 & 4, T32N, R5W, MDM (coordinates estimated) 0.5 km (1,500 feet) SSE of Whitehouse and 2.9 km (9,700 feet) W of Newtown. Located in the early 1900's. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite, granite and porphyry. The ore body strikes N50W and dips 50S. There are 3 parallel veins. The footwall is meta-andesite and the hanging wall is granitic rock. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 1,100 foot adit with 1,000 feet of drifts. The ore shoot is 14 inches by 230 feet.
