A former Cr mine located in sec. 25, T37N, R5W, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) WSW of Sims Station and 4.4 km (2.7 miles) WSW of Sims, S of the South Fork Shotgun Creek. Also located in secs. 13, 23 & 34. Owned by J. A. Davis (1918). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a Cr deposit hosted in Iherzolite. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains). Chromite is found in a large, tabular-shaped body of peridotite with an anticlinal structure that occurs in the NW corner of the county.
