A former lode Au mine located in sec. 13 (and/or secs. 1 & 2), T35N, R6W, MDM, 3.0 km (9,700 feet) NNE of Dog Creek Mountain (coordinates of record), along Dog Creek. Also located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 24. Property consists of 3 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. NOTE: MRDS database file #10262512 presents a township value of T31N, which in obvious error based on the geographic coordinates and MRDS values opresented for nearby locations. Based on these data the correct value is presented as T35N. MRDS database file #10034402 presents the T&R values as secs. 1 & 2.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite and trachyte. The ore body is tabular in form, strikes E and dips 65S, at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The ore carries 4% sulphides. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 4 (Klamath Mountains and Northern Sierra Nevada) and/or Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings including 2 adits at 70 and 300 feet long, respectively, and a 140 foot raise to surface. These workings total a length of 112.78 meters and an overall depth of 42.67 meters.
