A former lode Au-Cu mine located in sec. 3 & the NE¼ of sec. 4, T32N, R5W, and in secs. 33 & 34, T33N, R5W, MDM, (coordinates estimated), 2.2 km (7,200 feet) SW of Churntown. Property is compised of 4 claims. Production years were 1912 to 1919. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body is pinch and swell in form, strikes N and dips 65E at a thickness of 15 meters. There are 2 parallel veins. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings including 2 adits. The upper adit is 200 feet with 700 feet of drifts and an ore shoot 6 x 230 feet. The lower adit is 1,000 feet with 860 feet of drifts and an ore shoot 15 x 165 feet. Ore is low grade and was cut off by a fault.
