A former lode Au mine located in sec. 4, T35N, R6W, MDM, 4.7 km (2.9 miles) ENE of Blue Mountain (coordinates of record), between unnamed tributaries of Stacey Creek, near the Trinity County line, on National Forest land. Property is 7 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Coordinates estimated.
Mineralization is a Au deposit hosted in andesite and slate. The ore body is a pinch and swell body striking N and dipping 45W, at 7.62 meters thick, and with a depth to top of 3.96 meters. The hanging wall is meta-andesite and the foot wall is slate. The foot wall is intruded by andesite dikes. There are gently dipping slates near the older adit. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings. The main adit is 335 feet long and cuts the vein at 181 feet, 80 feet below surface. There is an older adit of 154 feet, 110 feet below the main adit, and 35 feet of drifts.
