A diatomaceous earth mine/deposit located in sec. 25, T37N, R2E, MDM, 4.4 km (2.7 miles) NNW of Burney Spring Mountain (coordinates of record), and 16.8 km (10.4 miles) N of Burney, on National Forest land. Owned & operated by the Dicalite Corp. (1989). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a Tertiary lacustrine diatomite deposit with phosphates. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range).
Workings are surface operations.
