A sand deposit/pit operation located in sec. 28, T10S, R2W, MDM, 2.3 km (1.4 miles; 7,600 feet) W of Scotts Valley and 2.8 km (1.7 miles) E of Felton, along Conference Road, off Mt Herman Road. Mine product is specialty sand. Owned & operated by the Kaiser Sand and Gravel Company. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. NOTE: Despite the name, this operation is closer to Scotts Valley than Felton.
Local rocks include Miocene marine rocks.
