A former Mn occurrence/mine located in sec. 22, T5S, R4E, MDM, 3.3 km (2.1 miles) E of Eylar Mountain (coordinates of record), on the ridge above Arroyo Mocho on the W and the mouth of Turner Gulch on the S, on private land. Discovered in 1918. Owned by D. P. Doak, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
The deposit consists of Mn-stained jasper, developing into a vein of Mn ore 4 feet wide. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan melange.
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings.
