A Hg occurrence located in the NW¼ sec. 5, T9S, R1E, MDM, about 5.4 km W of New Almaden, along the S canyon wall of Rincon Creek. Discovered prior to 1918. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted at a serpentine-sandstone contact. The ore body is tabular. Controls for ore emplacement included a contact of serpentine and sandstone. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Local geologic structures include a serpentine-sandstone contact.

Production data are found in: Holmes, Jr., G.W. (1965).
