A former Pb-Ag-Cu-Au-Mo-V occurrence/mine located in secs. 2 & 3, T4N, R10E, SBM, 1.7 km (1.0 mile) SE of Lead Mountain summit (coordinates of record), about 9 miles SSW of Bagdad, on the military reservation land. Owned by the Bagdad Silver Mine Company, California (1924). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a oxidized Pb-Zn vein deposit hosted in rhyolite and porphyry. The ore body strikes N60W and dips 40S at a width of 2.5 meters. Ore body No. 1 is an irregular fissure vein while ore body No. 2 is a breccia fill. The primary mode of origin was contact metasomatism. The primary ore control was faulting. The degree of wallrock alteration is unknown. The vein as a whole is low-grade. The ore occurs along fault fractures with thicknesses varying from a mere seam to 30 feet. Irregular lenses of high-grade ore were encountered. Values were high in Ag in the form of chlorargyrite-bromargyrite with some galena. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 16 (Northern Mojave Desert).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 700 foot inclined shaft with levels at 100 foot intervals and over 7,000 feet of drifts.

The average recovery of ore shipped was 6.66% Pb, 9.34 ounces Ag/ton, 0.095 ounce Au/ton plus minor Cu.
