A Cu occurrence located in sec. 31, T3N, R26E, SBM, 3.7 km (2.3 miles) WNW of Monument Peak (coordinates of record), on Bureau of Land Management administered land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. This locality is property No. 39 in the Whipple Mountains Report.

This property was examined in conjunction with the mineral appraisal of the Whipple Mountains Wilderness Study Area (Bureau of Land Management) in 1980. Backup information can be found in the WFOC mineral property files.

The ore body is tabular in a shear zone. The primary mode of origin was hydrothermal activity. Primary ore control was fracturing and the secondary control was faulting. The degree of wallrock alteration is slight (propylitic). Local rocks include Precambrian igneous and metamorphic rock complex.
