A former Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 15, T9N, R17E, SBM, 6.6 km (4.1 miles) S of the Fenner Hills (coordinates of record) and 5.2 km (3.2 miles) N of Fenner, on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in quartz monzonite. The ore body is 0.91 meter (3 feet) thick. The vein is Cu-stained. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a pit.
