A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 25 and in the N½NE¼NE¼ sec. 36, T9N, R18E, SBM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) E of Mountain Spring Camp (coordinates of record), along Interstate highway 40, just E of interchange 115. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in gneiss. The deposit consists of Fe-stained quartz stringers. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an adit and a pit.
