An Fe occurrence located in the S½SE¼NE¼ sec. 18, T12N, R1E, SBM, about 5.4 km NNE of Lane Mountain (summit). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in marble. The ore body is lenticular in form. The deposit consists of zones 100 feet wide and 400 to 500 feet long containing numerous lenses, stringers and disseminations of ore minerals. Less than 20% of the zones contain Fe minerals. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
