A former Au occurrence/mine located in the center SW¼NE¼ sec. 23, T13N, R10E, SBM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile) SSE of Seventeenmile Point (coordinates of record), on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings (the topo map identifies the Oro Fino Mine at this point. It is not possible to viusually discriminate between that mine's workings symbols and any attributable to this mine).
