An Fe occurrence located in sec. 10, T3N, R11E, SBM, 6.8 km (4.3 miles) E of the Bullion Mountains (coordinates of record), along the western margin of the eastern lode of the mountains, on military reservation land (Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center). Owned by Paul Schoebel (formerly). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in gabbro. The deposit consists of hematite boulders derived from small hematite segregations in olivine gabbro. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
