A W occurrence/prospect located in sec. 32, T13N, R13E, SBM, 6.7 km (4.2 miles) ESE of Rainbow Wells (town), in the eastern Marl Mountains, E of Marl Spring, on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). Owned by Harry F. Heather, Pasadena, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization involves tactite occurring near a contact between Archean metamorphic rocks and granitic rocks. Associated rocks include granite. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include unspecified surface openings (the topo map reflects 1 prospect pit symbol just W of this point and 1 additional such symbol at the N end of an apparent trench just E of it).
