A former Au-Ag-Pb-Cu occurrence/mine located in the W½NW¼ sec. 32 & in the E½NE¼ sec. 31 (uncertain), T7N, R6E, SBM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) ENE of Sunshine Peak (coordinates of record), on military reservation land (U.S. Marine Corps Training Center). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Mindat author's note: The location of this mine on Quaternary lava flows is unlikely. There are several mines to the W, off of the flows, on the eastern slope of the Lava Bed Mountains and 2 unnamed shafts in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 29.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Quaternary volcanic flow rocks, unit 7 (Mojave Desert).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 30 foot shaft a 70 foot tunnel and a large open cut.
Production data are found in: Goodwin, Joseph Grant (1957). No other production record was found.
