A former Ba(baryte)-Ca-Fe-Pb-Mn-S-Zn-silica occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T2N, R25E, and in sec. 6, T2N, R26E, SBM, 4.1 km (2.6 miles) WNW of Monument Peak (coordinates of record), at the head of Bowmans Wash (8 miles W of Cross Roads), on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). Discovered and first produced in 1917. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Corrected coordinates: N34.29279 W114.29757; taken at traces of mining activities by Richard Muster in the year 2010 using an Ashtech MM6 device.

The ore body (No. 1) strikes N45W and dips 75S at a thickness of 5 meters, depth-to-top of 2 meters, width of 20 meters and length of 500 meters. Ore body No. 1 is tabular in a fissure vein and No. 2 is breccia fill. The primary mode of origin was hydrothermal activity. Primary ore control was faulting and secondary control was igneous activity. Wallrock alteration is moderate (silicification). Manganese oxide and hematite occur in lenticular bodies associated with jasper in limestone. The limestone is enclosed in brown sandstone and volcanic breccia. The ore generally lies parallel to the limestone bedding and consists mainly of psilomelane-type material, some soft, black oxide, hematite and calcite. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
