A former F(fluorspar)-Cu-Ag-Au occurrence/mine located in the NE¼NW¼NE¼ sec. 24, T15+N, R16E, SBM, , 5.3 km (3.3 miles) E of Nipton, near the Nevada state line, on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). Owned by Mrs. R. H. Mc Dermott, Los Angles, California (1973). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
NOTE: The U.S. Bureau of Mines Mineral Investigation of the East Mojave National Scenic area states that this deposit is 9 miles E of Nipton, which would place it in Nevada. See Report 27 for a more reasonable location.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 prospect pit symbol at this point and 1 open cast mine symbol labeled "open pit" just to its W).
