A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T14N, R1E, SBM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) SSW of Goldstone (site). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite and quartzite. The ore body is 0.61 meter thick. The veins are 1 to 2 feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 100 foot (?) shaft and surface workings over several hundred yards of exposed length.
