A former lode Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 30 & in the SE¼ sec. 32, T6N, R17E, SBM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) WNW of Carbonate Peak (coordinates of record). The property is comprised of 7 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Apparently property encompasses several locations.

Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes N40W, N55E and dips 70-75SW at a thickness of 1.22 meters. The granite contains inclusions of mica and hornblende schists. The vein is 1 to 4 feet thick, dips steeply and crops out for 6,000 feet. Another series of parallel veins intersect the main vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 70 foot shaft, a 300 foot adit to the vein, 160 feet below the upper adit. Also there is a stope, a number of other shafts & open cuts. Detailed descriptions of the workings are found in Tucker & Sampson (1940) & (1943).

Production data are found in: Tucker, W. Burling & Reid J. Sampson (1940); Wright, L.A., et al (1953).

Ore shipped from the property carried 0.96-1.57 ounce Au/ton. No other production record was found.

Analytical data results: 1.0 ounce Au/ton was reported.
