A former Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼NW¼NE¼ and/or S½ sec. 2, T26S, R44E, MDM, 8.4 km (5.2 miles) NNW of Straw Peak (coordinates of record), S of New York Canyon, along the western slope of the Slate Range, on military reservation land (China Lake Naval Weapons Center) (formerly private (patented) land ??).
