A former Au occurrence/mine located in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 21, T3N, R2E, SBM, 8.0 km (5.0 miles) WSW of the Fort Irwin garrison (town equivalent) (2 miles E of Silver Peak), on military reservation land (Fort Irwin). The property was comprised of 11 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. This mine was probably opened in the late 1920's.

Mineralization is hosted in granite and limestone. The ore body strikes N45W & NE and dips 90. There are 2 veins. The NE-trending one intersects the NW=trending one 200 feet NW of a shallow shaft. Beyond this point the vein is exposed for about 1 mile. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 7.62 meters and comprised of several short tunnels and shallow shafts. A small cyanide mill was erected.

Production data are found in: Wright, L.A., et al (1953).

A small quantity of Au ore was produced in 1920.
