A former Cu-Au occurrence/mine located in secs. 33, 34, 35 & 36, T29S, R45E, MDM, 4.9 km (3.0 miles) ENE of Copper City (site), 7.6 km (4.7 miles) WSW of Eagle Crags (summit) (coordinates of record) and 9.2 km (5.7 miles) E of Granite Mountain (coordinates of record), on military reservation land (China Lake Naval Weapons Center). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite and limestone. Talcose veins occur near the contact of granite and limestone. There are 3 veins, 30 feet apart. The ore body hanging wall is granite and the footwall is limestone. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 64.62 meters and comprised of many shafts, as much as 212 feet deep, and a crosscut on the 212 foot level.
