A former Pb-Ag-Cu-Zn-Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 36, T16N, R13E, SBM, 2.2 km (1.4 miles) ESE of the Mescal Range summit (coordinates of record), on the eastern margin of that range (3 miles S of Mountain Pass), on federal reservation land (East Mojave National Scenic Area). Produced intermittently during the period 1927 to 1943. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in limestone. The ore body strikes N and dips 50-60W at a thickness of 3.05 meters and a length of 213.36 meters. The deposit occurs along a bedding plane in limestone, several feet from a granite contact. Tucker (1943) reported that the vein occurs in a fissure in limestone with a strike of N20W and a dip of 50-70SW. Associated rocks include granite. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 2 (SE California Carbonate Assemblage).

Workings include underground openings comprised os an inclined shaft 190 feet deep with levels at 60, 100, 150 and 190 feet. 15 to 25 feet of drifting was done, except on the 190 level, where there is a drift N 45 feet, and on the 150 level where there is a 35 foot drift N. A second shaft is 100 feet S, and open cuts for ¼ mile N of the gossan outcrop.

Five carloads of ore were shipped between 1927 to 1941, averaging 2.7 ounces Ag, 16% Pb, and about 2.0% Zn. The last car from bottom of the shaft averaged 23% Pb, 2.20 ounces Ag/ton, and 2.4% Zn.
