A former Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 25, in the NE¼NE¼NE¼ sec. 36 T7N, R1W, and in the SW¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 30, T7N, R1E, SBM, 0.5 km (0.3 mile) SSW of Goat Mountain (coordinates of record)(1 mile SSW of the summit of Ord Mountain; 1.3 miles N of Taylor Spring). The property is comprised of 9 claims. Operated during the period 1930 to 1932. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in hornblendite. The ore body strikes N40-50E and dips 45SE at a thickness of 2.13 meters. The vein is thin. One quartz-calcite vein is 2 to 7 feet thick along shear zones. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided) and/or Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 3.05 meters and comprised of a 10 foot adit, adits, pits and a 275 foot shaft with over 1,000 feet of drifts on the 50 foot, 100 foot and 240 foot levels. There is a 270 foot raise to surface. More detailed descriptions of the workings exist in Tucker & Sampson (1943). NOTE: This mine's workings are spread among 3 contiguous sections. The topo map reflects 1 shaft in each of the 3 sections plus 1 adit symbol in secs. 25 & 36 plus a prospect pit symbol in sec. 30.
