A former Fe occurrence/mine located in the N½SE¼NW¼ sec. 26, t2n, r11e, sbm, 16.2 km (10.0 miles) SSE of the Bullion Mountains (coordinates of record), along the southern slope of the range (16 air miles NE of Twnetynine Palms), on federal wilderness land (Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness Area). Owned by Arthur C. Becker. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in Late Cretaceous quartz diorite. The ore body is lenticular in form, strikes N40W and dips steeply at a width of 6.1 meters and a length of 91.44 meters. The deposit is a contact metasomatic body. The contact between the quartz diorite and the iron ore is marked by a thin seam of chlorite schist. The chlorite also extends into the ore. The dip changes from 65SW to 65NE. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of cuts and a short crosscut adit. A large part of the ore has been blasted to the floor of the wash, removing the adit.

The ore was shipped to the Los Angeles area.
Reserves are small.
