A former magnesite occurrence/mine located in the NW¼NW¼NE¼ sec. 30, T8N, R21E, SBM, 6.2 km (3.8 miles) N of Big Chief Peak (coordinates of record), in the Chemehuevi Valley, W of the Sacramento Mountains. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 open cast mine symbol at this point).
